Factory Manager - Modular Building Australia £40,000 to £50,000 negotiable Permanent or 2 year contract Steel frame modular building Factory Manager / Manufacturing Manager role. Key management role in an established & growing offsite construction business in Australia. We are retained to source a UK expert in modular building manufacturing / production for this fantastic lifetime opportunity in an amazing location with a healthy economy and strong demand for their buildings. Requirements: - Extensive experience as Production Manager / Factory Manager / Manufacturing Manager or similar. - In depth skills and experience in light steel framed multi-storey modular building manufacturing - Ability to establish new manufacturing processes to existing timber based modular housing business. - Strong people management skills, with the ability to understand cultural differences, relate well with all employees and bring the team with you. - Efficient manufacturing: skills to improve efficiencies, implement continuous improvement processes, lean manufacturing understanding, control materials costs, handle change and growth This company is expanding into the multi-story modular building sector to provide much needed new housing. With suitable building land increasing in price multi-storey residential is the way ahead here. Location: The climate here is similar to the South of France, with large areas of forest. The economy is thriving with both a supportive government and strong industries with major long term international investment. There is free healthcare and good education available so well suited to family status if required. Their key issues are growing their population and developing accommodation for them. The company has good investment backing and is well connected to grow rapidly in this market area. You will need to commit to moving for an initial two year period or for a long term permanent relocation.
