Engineer - Building / Civils - Sustainability &
Environmental
Based in West Midlands - Location Flexible
We are retained to recruit an Engineer for a leading company
in the construction sector for their Sustainability and
Environment Team.
The company advise construction and manufacturing clients on
how offsite construction techniques can play a significant
part in delivering sustainable construction.
They offer design, advise, evaluation, training and
assessment services,
We are seeking ambitious Engineers experienced in the civil
/ structural building sector with a good understanding of
the overall construction process in developing and
implementing industrial and residential projects.
Sustainability needs to be your key area of interest and you
will have developed a strong core of knowledge and ability
in this area. You will also need to demonstrate a good
understanding of offsite construction and be able to offer
consultancy and design services in this as well as
sustainability/environment projects.
Ideally you will have experience of one or more of the
following:
* Project management skills (Essential)
* Accreditation for SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure for
energy rating) and/or SBEM (Simplified Building Energy
Model) calculations
* Thermal Analysis experience ( U-Vales, 2-D and 3-D
simulation )
* Code for Sustainable Home Assessor Certification
* BREEAM Assessor Certification
* Air Infiltration Test Accreditation
Sustainability and Environmental issues are now a key
consideration in house building and wider construction, and
the industry is rapidly turning to Offsite Construction and
Modern Methods of Construction ( MMC ) to help them achieve
improvements in these areas.
Sustainability goes beyond the construction of a building,
and looks into a wider range of issues such as technical,
social and economics. Our client is building on their team
that will reach out to offer clients solid and wide ranging
consultancy services, based on offsite construction and
innovations. Their ongoing work is likely to touch
construction methods, waste, water, ecological values of
sites and more.
