Technical Management
Key to this role is your ability to manage and develop the technical team, and commercial aspects of a timber engineering business. This is based on the company's principal that innovation and good design along with sound commercial management will be key factors to achieving their goals.

You will be able bring strong general management skills enabling the owners more time to develop additional areas.

Briefly, the role will also include: tendering, valuations, HSE, CDM, timely production / construction handover, profit & loss, supplier development, knowledge base development, ensuring best value, customer relations, certification, compliance, being a stakeholder in lean manufacturing, ISO9001.

Timber frame engineering workloads extend beyond housing and residential to medium size commercial and public sector and NHS building projects.

Open Aptitude
The business is developing with modern and open management principles and a strong commitment to modern lean manufacturing methods.
Coupled with your technical expertise in timber frame and your structural knowledge you use your strong communication skills to discuss the benefits of timber frame with clients.
You will be an open minded "free thinker" with a healthy disrespect for unnecessary hierarchy.
