Here is an opportunity to take on the leadership of a technical team, managing the critical area of structural engineering, in a company at the forefront of modular building construction (which is itself, at the leading edge of the construction industry!).

This offsite construction manufacturing company is genuinely a cut above, in an innovative, challenging and rapidly growing market. They are advancing modular construction capabilities, and bringing it further into mainstream construction.

The role is to lead and further develop the technical team - currently 15 strong and growing.
You will ideally bring experience in the design of hot and cold rolled steelwork and timber sections, and a demonstrable track record of working within a Commercial design environment.
Importantly, you will also be able to demonstrate design agility and an innovative approach to problem solving, along with an ability to cope with tight deadlines and rapidly changing requirements. The team is closely involved in research and development. You will have well developed interpersonal and team working abilities.

Duties include:
Production of high quality structural designs and calculations at both tender and contract stage
Supervision of structural engineering work for steel and timber framed modular buildings
Co-ordinating work with engineers of other disciplines
Preparation of progress reports, methods and buildability studies
Technical problem resolution
