Designer - steel structures / modular buildings West Midlands / Mid Wales £18,000 + profit and performance related bonus We are retained by a rapidly growing construction business with ongoing public sector projects who are looking to expand their Design team to accommodate the increase in workload. In your role as Designer, you will be preparing Bills of Materials, producing detailed construction CAD drawings (using AutoCAD 3D and Revit), as well as procurement specifications and assembly instructions for shop floor and site. You will play a key role in ensuring technical queries from all colleagues within the business are resolved, as well as supporting the Estimating and Contract teams. This role will require working to strict deadlines and whilst you need to have a sound knowledge of Building Regulations and Building Bulletins, you will also need to be able to use a degree of lateral thinking. Qualifications & experience: HNC / HND equivalent in building design or construction Solid experience in designing within construction or building (experience in designing modular buildings would be of particular benefit but not essential) Highly competent in AutoCAD 3D and if you have used Revit this would be highly beneficial Excellent understanding of Building Regulations and Building Bulletins The ability to work in collaboration with your colleagues Experience in working to and meeting tight deadlines Highly developed attention to detail and accuracy This company has been highly successful and continues to grow in a highly challenging and competitive environment.
